The weather in the UAE is generally very hot and dry. The best time of year to visit the UAE is between October and May as the temperatures are not as hot as between June and September where temperatures can reach around the 35ºC (95ºF). Rainfall is scarce throughout the year.
UAE Passport & Visa Information
To gain entry into the UAE a passport valid for at least 3 months from the date of arrival must be produced by all nationals of Britain, Australia, Canada, USA and other EU states. In many cases a local sponsor will be required to hold the visitors passport whereby a receipt will be issues to the visitor.
A return ticket is required in order to gain entry into the UAE by all nationals from Britain, Australia, Canada, USA and other EU states.
A visa is not required by nationals of Britain, Australia, Canada, USA and other EU states staying for a period of up to 30 days; extensions can be obtained for a stay of 90 days. Nationals of Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic and Slovenia must obtain a visa for periods of stay up to 30 days.
UK nationals are required to have a passport with ‘British Citizen’ as their national status.
Transit documents issued in Lebanon, the Syrian Arabian Republic and the Coalition Authority of Iraq will not be accepted and entry will be refused. Israeli nationals will not experience problems trying to enter the UAE.
