The weather in the Netherlands tends to be quite varied but generally good. Summers are warm with most days being around 12ºC-16ºC (54ºF-61ºF) with occasional rainfall. In the winter temperatures can be quite cold especially in the evenings of November and December.
The Netherlands Passport & Visa Information
The Netherlands are a signatory of the 1995 Schengen Agreement.
To gain entry into the Netherlands a passport with at least 3 months validity beyond the length of stay is required by all British, Australian, Canada and the USA. EU nationals may gain entry by producing a valid national ID card.
A return ticket is not required by nationals of Britain, Canada, USA or other EU states. Nationals of Australia may be asked to provide proof of a return or onward ticket, as well as sufficient funds and health insurance before gaining entry into the Netherlands.
A visa is not required by nationals of Britain, Australia, Canada, USA and other EU states for stays up to a maximum period of 3 months. For stays longer than 3 months an authorisation (MVV) must be obtained from the authorities.
