The port of Agadir

The world’s biggest sardine fishing port is a constant hive of activity where the fishermen noisily unload cases of sardines, whiting, mullet and tuna as well as shrimps, lobster and crayfish.

While in Agadir, you must sample the fish and seafood! Have it either grilled, with a squeeze of lemon, or in a tagine. You can visit any of the friendly restaurants strung along the port and sit at long, wooden tables which you will share with the fishermen.

The Agadir Museum

This is an elegant homage to the Berber culture and the Souss valley and Sahara regions through their jewellery and traditional items.

The Valley of the Birds

In the heart of Agadir this museum is made in the bed of a dried out river and connects the city centre to the riverfront. You will see many rare birds here such a flamingos amongst a riot of lush and exotic plants.
