Weather in Egypt
Egypt is predominantly desert climate with 96% of its total surface area covered in sand. The northern coast is affected by the Mediterranean Sea and its weather is very reflective of that fact. Rainfall is uncommon in Egypt and occurs mainly in the winter (in the Delta region) where the northwest winds prevail. Snow is found on the high peaks of Sinai. In the spring a dry, burning wind called the Khamsin blows from the south and can cause sandstorms.
There is a spirituality that comes with Egypt that is noticeable to all those that venture to its realm and its difficult not to be taken in or effected by the majesty that was once the ancient civilisation of the Pharaohs.

Here is some important information about visas...
On entry into Egypt, you must obtain a visitors visa at the port of entry, the fee is £10 (subject to change). Sharm El Sheikh is considered a free zone, due to being located in the Sinai Peninsula. Travel on excursions outside the peninsula, the visitor’s visa is a requirement. Ask at reception if you require a visitirs visa, they are very easy to obtain.
A full passport with 6 months validity is required for nationals of Britain, Australia, USA, Canada, Japan and other UE states.
Visas are required by all visitors of EU nationality and must be obtained at the place of entry in Egypt. Tourist visas for visitors vary in price depending on the nationality however the cost around £15 per person for a UK national visa and will usually be valid for 3-6 months.
