September – April is the most popular time to visit Croatia although at this time the sea is slightly chillier than it is in the summer months which are July – August. In the summer months expect slightly higher prices but the weather is normally nice and hot with plenty of opportunity to go swimming in the pristine Mediterranean Sea.
For entry into Croatia a passport valid until at least the date of departure is required for all nationals of Britain, Australia, Canada, USA and other EU states. Nationals of EU are permitted to gain entry by means of a valid national ID card.
A visa is not required for all nationals of Britain, Australia, Canada, USA and other EU states.
Proof of a return ticket is required for all nationals of Britain, Australia, Canada, USA and other EU states wishing to gain entry into Croatia. In some cases further proof of sufficient funds for the duration of the trip may be required on entry (€50 per day for nationals staying at a private residence and €100 per day for nationals staying in a hotel).
