Climb a Volcano

No trip to La Palma would seem complete without a visit to the national park at Caldera de Taburiente which contains the largest volcanic crater in the world, measuring over five miles in diameter.

Here you will find striking volcanic rock formations and together with a ring of surrounding mountain peaks, offer stunning, unique scenery.

Whale and Dolphin Watching

One of the most enjoyable activities available and especially attractive to children is a dolphin or whale watching cruise.

Glass bottom boats depart from the port of Tazacorte, skirting the dramatic La Palma coastline before venturing into deep water and a close encounter with playful dolphins or a majestic whale. This is extremely popular with visitors and makes for an unmissable photo opportunity.
