Cambodia’s climate is governed by the annual monsoon cycle. From May to October the southwest monsoon carries heavy rainfall. The northwest monsoon, between November and March, brings slightly lower temperatures and less humidity.
In between there are transitional periods, with changeable cloud cover, rainfall and high temperatures rarely fall below 20ºC (68ºF); Cambodia is generally quite a few degrees hotter than Thailand and Laos. The driest months are January and February, when often there is no rainfall whatsoever. The wettest months are generally September to October.
Travellers to Cambodia must present a passport valid for at least 6 months after the date of return.
A visa is required by all nationals visiting Cambodia and is collected at the airport on arrival. You are advised to take some loose passport photos with you to attach to your visa application form to avoid delays in processing and also extra charges for photocopying your passport.

Visas can also be obtained from Immigration offices at the border post of Bavet, Poi Pet and Koh Kong.
