We are sorry to have to inform you that Travel Junky Limited (aka Travel Junky Holidays) has now ceased trading and will enter into voluntary liquidation on 28/06/11. We deeply regret and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause to our clients.

What happens if I have an existing 'pre-departure' booking with you?

If you have made a booking with us on or after 01/05/11 and are still 'pre' your departure date then you must contact the TTA to discuss or amend your booking. In 100% of cases we have paid your holiday supplier in FULL therefore you will receive your holiday as planned and paid for. Please see the Travel Trust Association (TTA) website for more information on why we took great care to ensure that in the event of something like this happening none of our customers would be affected in anyway financially.

If your booking was made with us before 01/05/11 then you will need to contact your travel supplier as detailed on your Travel Junky Booking Confirmation prior to contacting your ABTA who will assist you further if you have any problems with your supplier.

What happens if I am flying with Ryanair and need my boarding cards?

If you are travelling with Ryanair and need to obtain your boarding cards then you must contact either the TTA or ABTA who will provide you with the information that you need prior to your departure. You will be given a specific email address (which is the one we used when we made your booking). If you use that email address along with your departure and return airport info and the Ryanair ref shown on your Travel Junky Booking Confirmation then you should be able to access your booking here using option 1 inside 7-10 days before you go.

Clients who arrive at the airport without Ryanair boarding cards will be charged a fee by the airline which is non refundable.

What happens if I need to make an amendment to my booking?

The staff at the TTA and ABTA are doing their very best to assist anybody who wishes to make an amendment to their booking but please be patient with them as we have many hundreds of bookings set to depart over the course of the next 12 weeks. Our Customer Services Team finished working on Friday 27/05/11 therefore we are very sorry to have to inform you that we are unable to make any amendments to existing bookings.

Finally...

The Directors and staff at Travel Junky Holidays would like to take this opportunity to convey to you how absolutely shocked and devastated we all are by the decision to have to cease trading and enter the company into voluntary liquidation. This occurred because our bankers recently decided to no longer recognise the consumer protection that ABTA offer to the general public and therefore insisted on taking extremely high levels of their own security from us to cover themselves in the event that 'hypothetically' we might fail and ABTA would not fullfill on its bond commitments, the knock on effect being that we ran out of cash, the banks aren't lending to SME's and so therefore on the basis that we could not see a way forward we decided that we had no other option other than to liquidate the company.

We would like to thank all our clients for booking with us and in particular those many hundreds who took the time to contact us after their holiday to say how grateful they were to us for providing such fantastic value for money holidays.
